How many A&L Current accounts can I have?

Anyone got more than 1 A&L premier direct account?

Mine is over a year old so am getting charged interest on my OD. Also not able to get the 12% saver.

Would I still be eligible for the refer a friend bonus when I open a new one?

Is there a limit to how many I can open?

Thanks,

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
    Snippet from their website:

†Premier Regular Saver with an interest rate of 12.00% gross p.a./ AER is available to customers only at the time of opening a new Premier Current Account. To be eligible for Premier Regular Saver at a rate of 12.00% gross p.a./AER: applicants must not currently hold any A&L current account, and; applicants must not have held any A&L current account in the three months preceding a new Premier Current Account application. Minimum monthly payment £10, maximum monthly payment £250, for a maximum of 12 months. Interest is paid on maturity on the anniversary of the first payment due date. AER stands for Annual Equivalent Rate and illustrates what the interest rate would be if interest was paid and compounded each year. Gross is the interest paid before tax. After 12 months the account will be closed and funds transferred to your Premier Current Account.

There would probably be loads of people setting up multiple accounts (myself included) if they could ;).

    Thanks - makes sense.

So forgetting about the Regular saver part of my question, are you allowed more than 1 current account?

    I've been Money Tipped!
Yes you can - I phoned them with the very same question a few days ago after a post on here got no replies.

I currently have a premier account (with regular saver) and have just applied for a premier direct account.

You will NOT be able to get the recommend a friend bonus - read the T & Cs of the voucher on their site

I have the Premier Current Account [the one with 5%]. i went to A+L and asked them whether i can open the new Premier Account [6.10%] and they said YES - as long as u fund a min £500 each month. Although i cannot enjoy the recommend a friend thing the customer advisor did say they will "arrange" something. She hinted i might get £25 deposited as an incentive.....
