Pre Approved or AKA

Just throw something to catch your attention to go through a whole process and then it suddenly isn't approved.

A complete waste of time.

The apply online is always broken with technical difficulties, you then phone up and they state it can only be done in the branch.

Treating customers fairly - I think not!!!

Pre approved offers are refreshed on the first monday of the month;)

So is that the 20th of November or Monday 6th December that the preapproved offers at Barclays will be refreshed...Im confused.

I have had randome pre approved offers with Barclays, but they appear one month and vanish the next, only to reappear again a couple of months down the line. I am very confused to be honest.

I have been with Barclays since they took over the Woolwich (and been with the Woolwich since I was 21 ....I am now 45). I have a mortgage that ends next year, good credit report status...but at the moment no offers on my account. I really am confused by the criteria they use. I have also never been overdrawn.

The only difference I can tell is the months that I pay more funds into my account from selling on ebay etc are the ones I get the offers but I cant fathom why I have none this month (I am keen to get a loan ...which is typical) Does it mean if there isnt a preapproved offer that its not worth applying? Does anyone know?
