Hi,
Just need some help, I started a job in March 2008.
but now august 2010 have been made redundant,
but when I started I had a contract for 30 per week, £5.90 per hour, but when I was made redundant the contract hours were cut to 26.25 10 months before
but pay went up to £6.50 per hour, so what is the redundancy pay going to be based on, hours and pay ect?
Thanks

1 weeks pay for 1 whole years service, depending on your age, 1.5 weeks if you are over 41
Based on the hours you were working when being made redundant.
I have worked for my company full time for 24 years and in October went part time, if i was made redundant i would get pay on my part time hours.
and welcome to MSE by the way.:Dmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

1 more quick question
Last november I was signed off work due to a car accident, and when was fit for work in september I was already made redundant august, does that make any difference to the amount I will receive,
while I was off I only received SSP from them for 6 months.
Thanks0 -
Shouldnt make any difference, you were still employed by the company.
Presumably you worked 2 full years, so if you are between 21 and 41 you should receive 2 full weeks red. pay, plus notice pay, ie one week or one month, whatever is in your contract, plus any accrued holiday pay.
Hope you find a job soon...........make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
