TSB Mastercard Estimated Interest Varying

I've noticed the interest on my Lloyds TSB credit card has been fluctuating a bit over the last few months. My balance has pretty much remained the same, within a range of £30-40.

Last month it was around £20 less than the previous month :) , this month although the balance has dropped from last month the estimated interest has gone up by £15:(.

I wouldn't mind but things are a bit tight at the minute and they are working out the minimum payment on interest plus a percentage of the balance.

The interest rate for this month and last month are exactly the same, anyone got any ideas? I wouldn expect it to fluctuate that much on a monthly basis without a substantial change in the balance or interest rate.

  • One thing that will cause fluctuations is the length of the calendar month. August will generate more interest than September.

I also have this problem and when i called Lloyds it appeared no one could explain how the interest is charged you just get told they will put the details in the post and you get a copy of tems and conditions.
