How can I reduce the p+p that I charge buyers on Amazon

Hi I want to sell some little toys on Amazon but the set p+p is £4.xx . The toy is really small so the p+p charges are clearly excessive. How can I alter this when I'm doing my listing?

Is charging 1p still too much?

You could alsoalter your type of membership which will allow you to alter P+P charges down to zero. Talk to Amazon.

Thanks... I didn't know that there were different levels of membership.

I wanted to charge about £6,99 + 90p p+p... I think I will have to work out the over all costs by using their p+p amounts. The excessive postage looks so unfair though.

Daft question I know, but have you got the seller metrics to sell toys as the date for being assessed ready for the Christmas market has now passed.

If you are already an established seller with good metrics and a good number of sales you will have already had your confirmation email from Amazon. If not then you are unfortunately too late:

With effect from 20th September, 2010, we will stop accepting new non-FBA sellers in Toys & Games.* With effect from 15th November 2010, only those sellers who meet the following performance criteria will be eligible to sell in Toys & Games from 15th November 2010 through to the end of the first week of January 2011:

• Seller's first sale on Amazon.co.uk must be prior to 20/09/2010 (sale does not need to be Toy-specific).
• Seller must have processed and dispatched at least 25 orders (do not need to be Toy-specific) during the 60 consecutive days preceding 1/11/2010.
• A short term order defect rate no greater than 1% as of 1/11/2010.
• A pre-fulfilment cancel rate of no greater than 2.5% for the 30-days leading up to 1/11/2010.
• No greater than 5% late dispatch rate for the 30-days leading up to 1/11/2010.
