Defamation/Slander/Libel

I am about to have a crack at a certain bank (who have a close connection with black horses) for registering a Default against my sister in law when, by their own admission, the matter was under review.
The registeration of any Defaults, in those situations, is contrary to the Banking Code of Conduct.
Does anyone have any views as to whether I should go for:
a) Defamation of Character
b) Slanderous Remarks
c) Libellous Remarks
I am taking the view that there is more than one way to skin a cat and despite having evidence (from said bank) confirming no adverse registration would be entered - they have done exactly that.
Cheers in advance.

The banking code no longer exists, since now the FSA regulates banking activity on a statutory basis, where the banking code was only a voluntary agreement.
As for the legal question, you have posted this on the charges reclaim board, and thus you won't get approporite responses to your query.Best Regards

Agreed - it links you from the old Banking Code website.
I still don't feel it is relavent though, especially since it's on guidance suggests to refer the matter to the ICO, which have a document on 'Information Commissioner’s Data Protection Technical Guidance on Filing Defaults'.
This is a data complaint and thus should be directed to the ICO.Best Regards
