not sure what's happening??????!!!!!!

We have written to our bank in regards to mis selling PPI on a loan. The bank can't find any origanal paperwork as in their words 'it's been misfiled' we have been given several different figures as to how much we still owe which changes with each letter it's as if they think of a number and double it each time none of this has our signatures on.so we have no calculation to go by how much the ppi was, terms interest rate ,signed documents etc.

If the bank does refund us our ppi, will my loan be adjusted and monthly payments go down? how can I calculate how much we have paid of the loan and at what interest rate? How can we prove all this if nothing has a signature. The stress is taking it's toll on my health so anyone out there that can help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi there, do you have the original loan account number?, they should have found your account by now!!. They should not be plucking figures out of the air and if i were you i would request a sar, this will cost you £10 but they have to give you all details they have on you. How they know what to refund you should not be guess work so if i were you i would request a sar, they may not be giving you the right ppi amount back and if it is lower than the actual ppi they owe you then they are quids in.Others on here will guide you as well so try not to worry, you will get there in the end.x
You do not need a signature to find out the ppi. What do the letters actually say?.They do not have to give you the original agreement but they should give you a copy. And that is hopefully what you will get when you ask for your sar.

Perhaps it will be better to keep the PPI in force if you are not well.
