New connection to a mains sewer

:hello:
I wish to connect to the main sewer outside my house, currently all my sewage goes through a shared drain through my neighbours property. I am moving the bathroom in my house and building a new en-suite. The current drain is the other side of the house.
I live in a quiet road with no through traffic and the invert depth of the drain is between 160 and 165
How much does it cost to connect to a mains sewer and create a sewage "hub" with inspection hatch 3m into my property?
What permissions do I need to gain?
My apologies if I have not used the correct terms, I hope you can understand what I mean
Many thanks

First you need to find out who owns the sewer - they may or may not permit you to connect to it.
Secondly - invert level is 160-165????? The invert is the bottom of the pipe so if that's the correct size the top of the pipe is barely 60mm below ground level. Highly unlikely - do you mean "cover"?
That would be the distance from the ground to the top of the pipe - even at that it's too shallow.

Nearest Manhole Invert level is 162.7 Cover level is 164.7 - connection is to pipe in road
Does that help?0 -
a diagram would help us.
its probably far cheaper to connect to the existing drain.
you need another manhole anyways. and anywhere the pipe changes direction.Get some gorm.0 -
Sewer now safely connected. Lovely company who helped me submit relevant paperwork - so Water Board sent me permissions quite quickly. Lovely tidy job and really careful workmen. It was worth searching the internet and getting 4 firms to give me quotations to get a good job done. Thank you for your advice and help.0

But what did it cost?
Be keen to know! What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0
