Although I had less than the FSCS limit it was still a traumatic time. And the group hysteria that we created was really something.
But it's funny I've now got over the FSCS limit in another savings account

Actually I did write to the FSCS and say 'thank you' for running such an efficient operation.
Well they're reading the ones submitted by their website. Just had an appreciative acknowledgement from mine.Conjugating the verb 'to be":

Actually some did really well out of it, I had just put a wad in with Kaput thing
at a one year fixed rate at 7.05% which ING honoured, some had three year fixed rates which are still ongoing at those rates. We were all very lucky though.
We still have a reasonable amount tucked away in a 3 year fix, which was transferred from Kauthing Edge to ING. Currently growing at a healthy 7.67%:beer:
