Was the revised limit not posted?

Yes it was but I couldn't remember seeing it till I'd pick up OH from airport :o .We looked as we were going back. I was being too careful about couple in front as they seemed very lost! There were another couple of cars being booked aswell! We worked out that if they were there from 12 noon till 2pm they had swelled the local Police coffers a hell of a lot! When I took my D/L into local Police station I was asked where I got caught and told the lady and she said so that was where everyone was getting the fines from - she'd had loads!

Another thing that was annoying was "piggy" policeman stopped a bloke in his battered P reg car whilst I was still there and was laughing with him but didn't book him:mad: . Mmmmm if I'd been a bloke I'm sure he wouldn't have glared at me like he did  .
  • Sounds like a fair cop. I got caught doing the hideous speed of 35mph in a 30mph zone and was fined £60 withy three penalty points. At least you were doing a reasonable speed above the posted limit.

As for the copper glaring at you, I must confess, I look much more closely at ladies in BMWs than I do blokes in battered P reg cars. You could view it as a kind of compliment.

Very occasionally, lots of apologies and understanding mixed with a bit of humour can help swing a booking into a warning.

There are 10 types of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those that don't.
  • I think you will get 3 points and £60 fine. If you go on a course you will pay the fine and not get the points
