    Good luck.
  • I got caught in March doing 47 in a 30 (oops.. temporary road works and didn't notice the speed change! ) and was only offered the 3 points and £60 fine. Taught me a lesson though and I never speed now!

Was it the Wessex way? Just thats really easy to speed on.

I live in Poole so nice to spot someone close by. Love the little guinea pigs by the way.

i was doing about that and got 3 points and £60 fine..
    :D
  • I 've been done doing 35 in a 30 zone!
Where else but bloody North Wales police BUT I have been offered a training course which I will be taking up as this will mean no points on my licence, (clean at the moment) but will save quids on my insurance premium over the next few years.
Has anyone noticed that they take offences into account for 5 years even though they drop off your licence after 3 !!
Still got to pay the fine of £60 (through gritted teeth)!
  • I was done at 35mph nearly 6 years ago. It still really annoys me.
One day I'll be in a position to repay the Police for this robbery.

    :)

I have to say that my respect for the Police is now at an all time low and basically if they needed my help for any reason I would tell them to f**k off!

It does appear that the Police are more interested in traffic speeding than real crimes like burglary and assault etc. I have called them for a crime before and have had them call back and say "has anyone been wounded yet is there any blood." They were to busy to come out to me when someone was kicking at my door trying to get in. They told me to call back when I had been wounded or I was bleeding!

I agree with you! I was caught via road works back in March, was following elderly couple not sure where they were driving, they then decided to go off slip road, waved at me and apologised for dithering, which I didn't mind at all, I then just put my foot down. 70mph road, I was doing 67. Police appeared from nowhere with gun, pulled me over, asked me why I'd been stopped, said I didn't know, saw on gun I wasn't speeding, then he asked me what the speed was on the road, I looked bemused (by now wetting myself!) and said 70mph and he said it is usually but today is 40mph!! Other officer with him proceeded to glare at me, looked at back of car, driving OH's car, BMW personalised number plate and that was that! 3 points and £60. 1st offence in 35 yrs of driving - I was gutted. Policeman said I was his first victim of the day 12.03pm. When booking me the other "pig" was still glaring at me quivering in my boots and was waved away by being told by booking officer "he could manage". Wasn't till after I left that I got some sense of normailty back in my brain and was then furious! Should have reported him for sexual harassement eh!!

Oh yeah I drove another 3 miles before I came to any roadworks which lasted all of 50 yards!

Hasten to add there were five cars following and keeping up me  but just me obviously who "copped" it.

Funny though how your brain disengages when it is needed most and you can't think for thinking why you can't think!!

Kids always taking the mickey saying I'd never get caught cos I keep to speed - imagine their laughter when I told 'em. They were hysterical!
