can you tell me if ppi is a complete seperate payment to credit card balance payment if so why is barclaycard refunding my ppi against the balance of my credit card when surely they should be forwarding a ppi refund cheque,i have already gone to financial ombudsman but barclaycard still want to take it off the card balance,can they do this or am i right

I take it there are no arrears/missed payments on this credit card?
Was this resolved by the FOS, or are you making the complaint now?
If the FOS dealt with this, you could contact them and see what they think.
They all vary in how they deal with refunds, and if no arrears you can argue that it rightfully belongs to you, and if still not resolved then complain to the FOS.

I thought with Credit card PPI it can come off the balance of the card as you are not in effect paying it (it is added to your balance each month) ??? You are not exactly out of pocket by this amount? IF it was not added to your card then your balance would be less and I think that is why they repay against the card. If the card is all paid up then its different.Hi Steve

Perhaps someone that has a balance on their card and has had a misselling complaint upheld will be along.0 -

I was thinking of when mine was settled with nothing owing but Steve's is obviously still an active account.....:o
