Just managed to get through to Tax Credits after weeks of trying, to be told their system is down due to changing systems and won't be working until Tuesday!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Although its a bloody joke, hopefully if you read this it might save you wasting your time.

Dont know why a gov system takes 5 days to upgrade, maybe the pace of life is slower whilst sitting in their little "computer says no" world:(0

The systems are being updated. Due to the size of HMRC it takes more than just a few hours.
The systems need to be updated at sometime.
As I said in another thread, you don't need to like it but you need to get over it.0 -
