I have been getting working tax credits now for the past 2 months and wanted to ask anyone whether i have given the correct information regarding my earnings for 6 April 2009 to 5 April 2010 - the figures i gave from my p60 for that year only have earnings from my current employer which was from nov 2009 before that i was unemployed and was claiming job seekers allowance? is this ok i will need to speak to hmrc cos i dont want to get a bill in april 2010.

You are supposed to dfeclare your earnings from all jobs from 6th April 2009 - 5th April 2010.
Find out the info ASAP and contact Tax Credits otherwise you may be overpaid, if you've not already.0 -
thats right but i would of thought that claiming job seekers wasnt a job as such. Which i did mention that to the advisor when i originally applied for tax credits but didnt really get a definate answer.0

If it was just income based JSA you don't need to declare it. If you had contribution based JSA or other earnings you need to declare it.0

Think i was on income based JSA, what's the difference?0
