Tesco Opticians

I know to a lot of people all things connected with tesco are the work of the devil but I've just had a great experience with Tesco opticians.
I wear day and night monthlies from them and knew that I was due a sight test before I could get my next lot. I was convinced that I had 1 pair left and therefore hadn't booked a sight test till I needed to order some new lenses.
I went to change them yesterday but found that I didn't actually have another pair. I've just called them to get a sight test asap but they can't actually fit me in for 2 weeks. The woman on the phone was great, she has ordered me 1 pair that will be in in the next few days to keep me going till I can have my eye test done and said she'd call me as soon as they were in so I could go and get them.
I asked how much they'd be and she said they'd be free of charge as they couldn't get me in for 2 weeks! Bear in mind that it's my fault that I have run out and not made an appointment in enough time to sort it I'm pretty impressed by that.
Big thumbs up to them from me!!

do you know that you can actually wear them for about 8 weeks before they start to deteriorate ?
Obviously it's not ideal - but worth knowing for just such an emergency
however well done Tesco Optiicians:T0 -
Well I didn't tell my optician but I think they might have been in about that long. I must start keeping a note of when I put them in!
