One of my local churches is right next-door to a golf course.
The pastor goes round once a week and collects up the balls and sells them for charity.
Aptly they're named Amazing Grace balls, because they "once were lost, but now are found"0 -
Im a relatively new golfer, Im loving it like you.
I think the less shots you take in a round, the more each shot has cost you in £s. I think I am getting fabulous value for money when I take over 100 shots to go round 18 holes, and if I were to hit less shots then surely the cost per shot is higher. Come on Martin, you can see the sense in that! Chritina.0 -
Even newer to the game, not yet on the par 9 , still going to the driving range and the chipping area.
But have made a few purchases of of ebay ( you will like this , very MSE) Two new golf bags , 99p each.
Bag , full set of clubs and trolley for 99p and a separate better trolley for ... yes 99p >( all of course demanded collection )Did not intended to get so much gear , whilst not really yet playing , but put in the bids and they all turned up trumps.
PS the glove was expensive £20 -
Martin, a ball with a locator is going to cost way more than twice the price of a regular ball.0

Another good tip for golfers...
A good site for cheaper golf rounds is https://www.teeofftimes.co.uk
to get the better prices you need to play off peak.0 -
Keep practising and we'll see you in the Dunhill Links Championship next year : )0
