Hsbc global bank - a joke

We have recently moved abroad but kept an account with HSBC in the UK. When we tried to use our HSBC credit card on line we were asked for a MASTERCARD SECURE CODE to be set up. When we tried to do this we were asked for a UK post code. Well, as we sold up , we don`t have one . Although our UK branch are quite happy to maintain our account and have internet banking and sending post to our overseas address it appears that the SUPPOSED GLOBAL BANK does not allow a secure code to be issued to non UK residents...........
How is that GLOBAL BANKING?????

Aren't the secure codes a feature brought in by Mastercard rather than HSBC itself? Have you contacted HSBC to see if they can help you with the problem?0
