To be fair to buyers, even if they do venture out in bad weather, the stall holders do themselves no favours. I was out and about last Sunday, and it was a morning of passing showers. And while I braved it, the sellers stayed in their cars, their stalls covered up. Even once it stopped raining. So I was faced with row upon row of nicely covered stalls, which make for really difficult browsing. I really wanted to buy something, no point in a wasted trip, but I found nothing.
Same again this week?:wall:0 -
I have done a couple of boot sales. First one we cleared my parents old stuff and took £45 minus £5 fee leaving £40, got back to my car (we took 2 and left one outside) and had a £30 ticket, not amused.
The 2nd one I did I was helping a friend who was raising money for a Raleigh International trip. She had already done one a few weeks previously and made £250, so this one was the stuff left over from that and we still made £180.0 -
