Everyone's told you the answer: you don't need Quicktime for this forum. I don't get a prompt when I log onto the fourms, and no one else does either as far as I can see. This forum is not your problem, it's the setup of your pooter.

As to where to go for the answer: ask your grandson. He made the changes and he, apparently, is an expert.

If you have now stopped shouting at me , perhaps the problem started when your Grandson cleaned up your PC. It may be possible that there are still assoiciations for file types with Quick Time.
Go to Control Panel/Default Programs/Associate File Type
Then sort the display using Current Program - it may be under Apple Quick Time/or just Quick Time. It also could be in Control Panel/Default Programs/Set Your Default Programs.
If that is not the answer then sorry to bother you, don't shoot the messenger.
