    WITH TDW IT'S FREE.

Wow. So, you are saying TDW are a charity and are doing everything for free?

Out of interest, if TDW is free, how come they list a range of charges on their website?

thanks for all the smart a**e replies- you know who you are and some of you sound like you know just a little too much when it comes to HL.
The facts are that HL charge fees on your ISA's and TDW don't.

You just sound like you know too little. I also don't believe that anyone too stupid to understand simple terms and conditions would actually have accumulated 200k in ISAs....

They've got enough of an advertising budget. They're forever sending me glossy magazines encouraging me to flip to the latest fad. It's currently absolute returns funds, but that'll screw up after a few years then it'll be something else.

Oh, and a free pen set if I transfer another pension to them :)

No sense in spending money when word of mouth generally works well in their favour. If they ever start to be significantly more expensive than their competitors for the investments I like to do, I'll transfer away. Right now they're as cheap as I can get.

Never mind the forum, I think h-l should grease the palms of the posters giving them such frequent and glowing reviews. Perhaps they should set up a clickthrough at Topcashback or Quidco where you get paid cashback for each post mentioning h-l in a positive light. ;)

I think it would be a fair guess to say I dont ;) I can get the investments cheaper than HL. Although if I was a DIY investor like many here then I would certainly consider them. If you disregard their marketing and the wealth 150 list, their actual product, at this time (as things are changing going foward), then its very good for a DIY funds investor using ISAs and unwrapped (but not not so much for their SIPP).

OK - lets stick to facts then; Dunstonh, you've hyperlinked to TDW site- but not to the part where they state ISA's over £5,100 FREE not sure why you didn't highlight this? (I'm not allowed to paste links as i'm a newbie- follow Dunstonh's own link above and then click ISA's in the table to the left)

Californication- private message me and I'll send you copies of my ISA statements with my name and address on and also credit report on my 3 businesses showing shareholders funds. The only condition of this is that you then come onto the board and make an apology to me for the statement you made above; fair? It's exactly because I am good at generating wealth that i have no time to study in depth HL's reams and reams of small print.
I re-iterate -the only reason i started this thread, at 11.00pm at night was to warn other MMSE members not to pay HL's fees on ISA's when you can use TDW for free if you have over £5.1k in your ISA. When I first transfered my ISA's and my wife's into HL they weren't worth £200k- much less- so the FEES were covered by the initial bonus payments. It's exactly because I have successfully traded within the ISA's- mainly Dragon Oil for the past 5 years- that my ISA's have grown to this amount and I've been clobbered with high fees- that would have been NIL had I had them in TDW.

The principal behind ISA's is surely that you expect them to grow, ergo, you will end up paying increasingly higher fees if you're in HL.

I AM so pleased others have spotted the HL bias on this board; I've put my cards on the table here- I will happily e-mail details of my ISA 'Wealth' and the fees paid to HL to anyone who PM's me to e-mail above- but you have to have the guts to come on here and say i wasn't lying and I would hope from my business credit reports you'll also be able to conclude I'm not stupid- impatient yes, no attention to fine detail... "mea culpa".... but stupid, no.
