How long ago was that? I used to get £25 if I worked my day off though, which is like mega-time, surely? They did send me to college though. I won't confess who I worked for, as I do believe you don't like them much here (it wasn't Kwik Fit!)Gloomendoom wrote: »I can beat that... £32 a week including Saturday mornings.0 -
My screenwash was empty after they repaired my gearbox. Is that the same?0

There's no way in hell I'd put mucky sludge and rust contaminated fuel in a new tank. Being sensible about it, would you want a new tank to start off with the crud from the old tank in it?
^^^ What he said. The old tank would have been drained and that would have lifted all the sediment and muck from the tank into the said recepticle tht the fuel was drained into.
Now would you want ALL that crap going into your shiny new fuel tank?
I wouldn't!

Wow. Turns out the garage filled 2 Jerry cans and only put one back in the car and they did not realise until they came across the jerry can. Seems they were honest after all and it was a genuine mistake.0

Crazy isn't it. If your going to get your fuel tank replaced surely it'd be common sense to NOT fill up prior to the appointment.0 -

maybe the op took it for an mot, and having failed on a leaking tank didnt leave the garage until the car was repaired. whenever i go for an mot i dont think to myself "id better drive round a bit and run the fuel down just in case":DBe Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0
