I was in there at 9.30am and the shelves were empty - she did kindly ring another store for me though as i was going to visit my nan and they had loads so they kept one for me. If ur going near St Neots pop in as they had shelves full today.

Thanks to the original poster - got one on friday in my local store - they were in a big pile by the checkout. Just got to keep it until christmas now! Tried to get one last year but they were out of stock so lucky this year.

my local store had lots but they were priced at £7.99, whereas the puds were shown to be half price. i didnt have the time to queue and query the price, are they scanning at half price?

I found a 'snowflake' cake at £7.99 on Friday but the SA assured me the half-price cake was different, so didn't get it scanned.
Went into the town centre today: miracle of miracles the £3.99 cakes were in stock (about 8 left at 8.45am) & guess what? they were identical!
glad to get one, but not impressed.

i got mine from the simply food marks and spencers at kingston park, newcastle. they had the puddings too. i think when you cost in all the ingrediants and the time it would be in the oven, its cheaper to buy, and the ingredients listed on the cake box aren't full of e numbers either.
  • None in Watford. Got the pud though!
