Showers - Quick Question

Hi everyone,
I needed to buy a couple of shower enclosures for my house development. I was a little bit rushed into buying as the plumber wanted to know where the waste pipes would be located - fair enough really.
Anyway I bought 2 shower enclosures and 2 shower trays. I'm having a nightmare of a time with one of the shower trays as it has a huge crack in it from a manufacturing fault (which the seller has admitted to). I was due a replacement, though I'm going to have to opt for a cash refund.
So my question:
If I have an offset enclosure of 800 x 1000 will any equally sized (800 by 1000) shower tray suffice?
To be honest it's a real pain in the bum as I have already given the dimensions for the waste pipe location and now I need to buy an alternative.
Any suggestions?
Cheers

Well I can look for one.
The thing is originally I had to buy a different brand tray to that of the enclosure. i.e. I bought a Twyford enclosure, but the tray is a cavalier tray."The future needs a big kiss"0 -

Hi Phil - yes he can, and you're right it's not rocket science. My question still remains:
Will any same sized shower tray fit an enclosure / is it universal, so I can chose a different brand enclosure to that of the tray?
Thanks

Hi Andrew,
Thanks VERY much. I'll have to read into it all a bit more. Though you have answered my basic question. It looks like it must be possible to use differing manufacturers for the tray and enclosures. Bloomin hope my en suite ones fit together alright, and I don't have to hassle on like I'm doing now!
I'll be back on here for advice no doubt!
Cheers

funnily enough I was looking at Mira on the screwfix website. The only thing I couldn't see was if they were left or right handed.
I just need to have a look around really."The future needs a big kiss"0 -
Hi all,
I'm hoping you can help!! I've installed the shower trays for my shower enclosure (Twyford Geo 6 - which I went for in the end), however I am worried for the shower enclosure.
What I need to know is - does the shower enclosure sit right on the very edge of the tray? I'm hoping it doesn't and that it comes in a little bit, as my tray meets up to where the door is, and the architrave has had to have a little cut out of it to allow for the shower tray. I'm probably not making a very good description here.
Perhaps these quick photoshops will help?

I just want to know if I can squeeze my shower tray on. It may be very tight and kiss up aginst the architrave. I *would have thought* that shower enclosures should be slightly inset from the outside of the tray to leave a little lip.
If not, then I will have to get the joiner to move the door casing over as the tiler needs to join right up to the architrave obviously. Something so small can become such a headache!
If anyone can at all let me know their experiences ASAP, or even take a pic of your shower tray enclosure that would be amazing. I do of course appreciate ANY help at all.
Cheers! :beer::beer::beer:"The future needs a big kiss"0
