Yesterday, for the first time for ages I was forced to use IE to access a site that Firefox wouldn't properly deal with. Before closing IE I cleared the History and Cookies.
This evening I discovered the my Run Box history had gone - would clearing IE History have caused this ?

Beg to differ, if you mean IE, tools, delete browsing history, it doesn't touch the start, run history, try it again and see.!!
