I'm not being nasty but people often wonder how these companies get details.
You just supplied your name to them.
If he had said he was from your bank and was your account 890000 and your password 12345 would you have said no my account is 79000 and my password is 12345?
And your phone number is an 11 digit number made from the digits 1234567890, he just put them in the correct order that happened to be your phone number.
And he probably got your parents name form the phone book.0 -

Not meaning to be harsh, but if you put a bit of punctuation and capitals in your initial post it would make it easier to read and you might get more responses.0 -
I've also had a couple of phone calls claiming to be from Sky - they didn't ask for any details but just asked whether we were happy with the service we receive. I must admit I was very skeptical that it was in fact Sky on the phone.0

No it can't be their sky - it belongs to everyone!0

I had a call from "Digital experts Uk" asking for Mr or Mrs xxxx, got our name right. She said that our Sky box warranty was up, but she hung up though when I told her to "pull the other one".
I never reveal anything to people, even if they get the name wrong I never prompt them with the right information. You are asking for trouble by doing that.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £16,087.170
