wireless adaptor wanted

Can anyone recommend a good cheap wireless adaptor, I have struggled for months with a Belkin usb adaptor and it has finally stopped altogether, I am not sure if it was ever up to the job.
I will be using it on a desktop computer, I am prepared to fit an internal one.
I have rung around the local small town and they are about £29.99, but they seem too much compared to the internet (Ebay Amazon etc.).
It needs to be suitable with a Netgear wireless-N ADSL2 router.
I am just confused which one to go for.

I use the Netgear Wirelsss N adaptor with the same router that you have and it worked first time - automatically connects.

Second a Netgear one. There's a reason why the ones on the internet are cheap.

What reason would that be? Mine cost £6 and is still working perfectly a year later.

It's not as if Netgear is not sold on the Internet...

Wireless USB adaptors are unreliable full stop.

If the PC is close to the router, you may consider sticking with a Wireless 802.11g card for £7.85.

Whereas if you are further away and need the extra range of an 'N' card, you can look at eBuyer's offerings. Beginning from £15 More here
