Silly question

I know this may seem a silly question, I have just got a new Toshiba laptop how do I get more than one page to view as when I make the page smaller to save at the bottom I dont know how to get a new page up to look at something different and still save the other page if I just click the internet explorer icon it just brings the same page back up. Feeling stupid at the moment.

As another alternative if you type the new address in the search bar or the normal address bar then press alt and enter together and that also open a new tab. If you use your favourites or find a link on the page you are currently reading press right click and then you can open that link in a New Window or in New Tab

if you dont want to use that 'tab' system then instead of left clicking the internet explorer button either, middle click it with the scroll wheel of your mouse OR press SHIFT and then left click the IE icon,
that will open a new window

EDIT it is shift click not ctrl click
