Access Manager is a FREE software solution that keeps all your passwords in one, simple to use list. It offers fast, easy and secure password management.
One 'Master Password' is all that is needed to access all your passwords and private information.0 -
Password_safe for me ....

Another vote for KeePass plus Egg Money Manager.0

Another vote for 'Passwordsafe' although all the main password managers are similar with one master password to remember.0

There's a school of thought which says you shouldn't answer such questions truthfully (or use the same answer across different accounts).
I don't use truthful answers particularly mothers maiden name as that is easily found from public records.
I don't write my passwords down instead I write down a clue to the answer to jog my memory, also log in to them fairly frequently so tend to remember them.0 -
I'm very suspicious of eggmoneymamnager and similar. I know many people swear by them, but I distrust the idea of a 3rd party having access to my accounts.
I also believe if there were any loss/fraud, NatWest (or whoever) would say I had broken their terms and conditions by passing my Natwest password to egg. I would then be liable for any loss.
I write down my passwords/PINs etc but in a code that only I would understand.
eg: natwest password: place I met Joan (Joan being my 3rd girlfriend who I met in Prague)
NB: example only :T0 -
Yet another vote for KeePass.
I have it on three memory sticks, just in case I lose or corrupt one.
One is kept in the safe (bolted to a concrete floor). One in a cupboard and one in my bag.
What I like is, the password can be many letters long. Mine is actually a sentence, 24 characters long. But you could make one even longer.
I wouldn't use a website type manager myself.0 -
@ the OP ...and have a look at the terms and conditions of your accounts. For some, using the same password for other accounts explicitly breaks the terms and conditions.shouldn't ...(use the same answer across different accounts).
Bank security software like Rapport isn't mandatory yet, but probably will become so in the future and it will find you out on password reuse.
Writing passwords down unencoded is usually verboten, too - check your terms and conditions.0
