Moving Office Software

Options
Hi, a few years ago I purchased MS Office 2007 Pro as part of the Home Users deal MS were offering government employees. At the time I had a desktop PC and a Laptop. Part of the licence agreement was being able to run the software on two platforms, so I installed it on both. Now a few years later, and the desktop is no longer used, and I have just purchased a netbook for traveling. Is it possible to uninstall and unregister the software from the desktop, and install it on the new netbook instead?

Anyone done this?

Rgds

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
dont know if it will be possible it will depend on the license so you might need to speak to your employer IT department about it, just be careful as a lot of these home user deals have not been renewed such as the one in the NHS and according to the license on the NHS one all user's should have uninstalled it

in any case it might be worth you looking into the free office solutions such as open office or libre office - although libreoffice is only currently in beta
    Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

The licence is still fine, it's the MoD licence. Not into Open office as I use MS at work.

OK, so I'm guessing it can't be done then? Impossible to uninstall MS Office, de-register it with MS and re-install it on a new machine?

It can be done. Just uninstall and reinstall on the new machine. See here.
