Hi,
I want to put my boyfriends inspiron mini 9 on ebay, i bought it for him last year but its running linux ubuntu and as someone who practically never used a computer he found it confusing compared to windows.
However i cant find the paperwork and i know absolutly nothing about the computer, i bought it from dell online and i know there were a few differant options for hardrive etc but i cant remember what i chose.
Is there something i can tap into the computer to get it up?
please bear in mind its linux and im not familiar with it at all.
I know its probably simple and im been stupid but im really stuck!
Thanks

there is a service tag on the back of every dell machine. it will be something like D5K42YX or something.
Plug that into the following link

You could of course buy a copy of windows and put it on the laptop.0

It doesnt have a disk drive to complicate things plus it was a bit on the small side for him anyway so he's much better with a normal sized laptop.0
