Hotel Booking Sites List? Price You See Is The Price You Pay

Sites such as Hotelopia and Thomas Cook include include local taxes, service fees etc in the final price so the price you see is the price you pay. Does anyone know of a list of any other hotel booking sites that are upfront about costs please?

I'm tired, tired, tired of sites like Expedia which aren't always upfront about the total cost of a hotel booking. Once bitten, twice shy and all that.

Thanks!

Octopus and Superbreak are upfront with prices and do not charge extra for credit cards. Sunshine.co.uk has honest prices. It does charge for credit cards, but gives you the option of paying a deposit by debit card and the balance 11 weeks before. All three also available via topcashback.
  • I've booked a hotel in New York though Hotels.com (owned by Expedia) that states that all local taxes are included. I didn't pay a credit card surcharge either.

    Use comparison sites such as

    https://www.roomratecompare.com
    https://www.hotelscomparison.com
    https://www.trivago.com
    https://www.travelsupermarket.com

That way, between the 4 of them ,you can see the total cost in the results from around 40 odd different hotel suppliers.

Thanks budgetflyer. I do use comparison sites but once they've given me a choice I'd like to head for those sites which will be based on the price i'm going to pay. i no longer really want to use sites they might suggest such as expedia. does that make sense or am I missing a trick here?

    any advice appreciated.
