Southern electric doorstep salesman

I've just had a boy at the door trying to get me to sign back up with southern electric telling me they have bought the gas/elec supply from transco or something and that i should switch back to them as the prices i pay them will be cheaper than i am currently paying eon as they now supply eon?

He was very insistant and didn't want to give me any written information about it and wasn't willing to give me a few days to think about it?

Is there any truth in what he's saying?

Why not check for yourself using one of the comparison sites?

In the unlikely event there is any truth in what he spouted, you certainly won't get the cashback deals on offer if you go through him

I checked a comparison site the other day and the only cheaper tarrif was an npower one.

It's just the whole story he spun that got me, he even asked why i would want to use a german company when i could use a british one. i can see if i was a little less aware that i would have signed up.

i live in lewisham , south london, i had the same ones comming telling me you pay eon this and with us you lll pay this cheaper... etc
i kept asking him if he was a door to dor salesman and he was denying , saying he s not one of the little companies, he s the representative of southern gas, which suplies all companies, and have had complaints from the area that we are overpaying..
when i didnt get a proper reply i asked if i need to sign a form to get to your cheap tariff he quickly got the paper from his books, ..

he got all the abuse he could get in english and in my native language too

Asked him if i see him on my door again, i would try my luck and test the prision life after i have beaten him as much as i could.

no i m not salesman but yes i want you to switch to our company!!
i wish i knew when my postman come in, so i would lock the garden door so no one gets close to my front door! 30 mins lost instead of cleaning my van!

my friend works for E:on and when he gets door to door sales people and they make false claims against E:on my friend always tells them he actually works for E:on and wants their ID number so he can report them hehehe
