Nationwide FlexAccount

Quickie - can anyone tell me how quickly I can get a Nationwide FlexAccount set up from scratch (i.e. with cheque books and debit cards delivered, etc.)??

  • It took Nationwide about 12 days to set up my new account (cards, cheque book, online banking). The transfer of direct debits were done within a month. No problems at all.

From other post I've read, going to a Nationwide branch and applying may shave a day or 2 of the process.

I opened mine last year. Went in to the branch on the Monday and did it all in there. I had the debit and credit card in my hands by the following Friday so 10 days all in.

Dont bother with online as you have to send ID and sign stuff, take it all to the branch and they will open one up there and then.
  • Thanks guys. Wanted to see if I still had time to set up a NW account before my OH goes to New York in 2.5 weeks time. Looks like I might just do it if I get into a branch pdq.
