Can anyone give me a ball park figure on what it should cost to replace a roof on a victorian 2 bed terraced house?? Price to include new tiles, batons, lead around chimney, felt, scaffolding, removal of rubbish etc.
I have been quote £4,300 - is this fair??

sounds good to me, I have just a quote for double that! Still getting some more though so can let you know when they appear. Are you getting other quotes for comparison? Also, has anyone down your street had a new roof in the last couple of years? Maybe ask them for price guides and company recommendations.
Although I should point out that the house I am getting a quote for is in a conservation area and so I am restricted to the materials I am able to use.
oh and how much are they quoting for scaffolding? Mine is £1k- seems loads!Saving for an early retirement!0 -
Thanks for reply. The roofer concerned has done work for me before. Scaffolding is £446 which includes the VAT.0

hmmm, I guess the scaffolding might be more because the house is 3 storeys.
Hope the work goes well!Saving for an early retirement!0
