Have you tried B&B's, plenty about!0

Do you know what area of Edinburgh he will be working in and that might narrow down b&b's.0

Everywhere I know is pretty dear in edinburgh all I can suggest is phoning the scottish toursit board details here , who are usually great or for very cheap accomidation there is the youth hostels which dont just take youths. There is a really good situated one just behind the castle - not sure if this is a scottish youth hostel., but I know hostels arent everyones thing .Here is a link to the youth hostel site .0

Even B&Bs will cost you roughly that per night. Cheapest Double on Bookings.com is £50 per night0

I live in Edinburgh & £45 for travelodge is by far the cheapest you will find & that's if it's available on dates required , even a crap b&b in Blackpool would cost you roughly that & this is the capital of Scotland which get's tourists from all over the world so my advice would be snap up the Travelodge if you can get it.0

Hi
I agree that the Travel Lodge at £45 per night for the room is very reasonable for Edinburgh.
However, if you put Edinburgh Budget Accommodation into a Google search it does come up with some other alternatives. There is also the possibility of renting an apartment for a week.
Not sure if your husband is self employed or not but if his employers are providing him with accommodation can this be upgraded to suit your needs with you agreeing to pay the difference.
Also e-bay is worth a look do a search on Edinburgh in the tickets and travel section.
Hope you find something.

Try castle apartments great apartments at £40/night
if that is still way over what you want to spend. Then the Guardian at 60p will cover you well on a cold night...0
