A bit of non computing help please.
I've never bothered watching digital broadcasts before but, since I've been given someone's cast-off decoder free, I thought I might as well give it a try.
Can somone explain where it goes?! The sequence I have at the moment is:
aerial socket (to) VCR (to) TV
Apparently I'm due a DVD player as well for Christmas (shhh... don't tell him I know). There doesn't seem to be enough sockets!!!

how many SCARTs has your TV and video got?0

There's one scart socket at the back of the TV but none in the VCR which is ancient. They're currently connected by ordinary (co-axial?) cable.0

I'd put the scart from the digi box to the tv. Cable from Aerial into 'aerial in' socket on digi box. Cable from 'aerial out/tv' socket from digi box to 'aerial in' socket of vcr. Cable from 'tv' socket of vcr to tv.
select av input on tv to view digi telly.0 -
I'd buy a new TV and VCR as there's only so much you can do with old equipment.
Alternatively....
Aerial -> Digibox
Digibox -> Scart splitter box
DVD -> Scart splitter box
Scart splitter box -> TV
Digibox Aerial Out to VCR aerial In
VCR Aerial Out -> TV Aerial In
SCART splitter boxes are only a few quid and would allow you to be able to share the lone SCART on your TV. You could do it VERY cheap with a simple "Y" cable like this...

...although you would have to have one device turned OFF when you needed to use either SCART...or...one of these....

..which does it cleaner without the need for turning off devices.
However....the ideal solution would be to move into the 21st century!
