Item not received

PLease advise guys.

I successfully bid for a DVD and was one of three winners for that lot. Checked seller's ID beforehand and it was very good.
Paid by PayPal later that evening.
Logged on next day and saw that this seller had started to recieve lots of negative feedback - and I mean LOTS>

Realised I had been taken for a ride and put in a dispute. Now I have received the following message from PayPal:

We have completed our investigation of this case. We attempted to process a refund from the seller's account to your account. Unfortunately, the seller's account does not contain the funds necessary to cover this refund. We were able to recover £0.00 GBP. We have taken action against the seller and are working to recover the remainder of your refund. We will contact you when we have more information. No further action is required of you at this time.

The status reads "Case Closed"

It was luckily a small amount, however, am I likely to get my money back or is that it?

Thanks in advance.

Forgot to say I did wait and give him the benefit of the doubt, to no avail.

The signs aren't good. You'll only get money back if money is paid into his paypal account... and with so many people unhappy, and a no doubt pending ebay suspension, that's unlikely to happen :(
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

If you paid using a credit card to fund your paypal payment then contact the CC company and they will help.

fay - I think I realised that, but hoped anyway for some positive outcome. He is no longer a registered user as a result of about 50 negs in the space of a few days. Very strange as he had such a good feedback up till that point. I do not think if it was a scam that he made a great deal of money.

Soo - unfortunately, paid with debit not credit card.

Will have to put this down to experience, thank goodness not a lot of money.:( :(
