Any idea where i can find up to date info when new models are being released? Have looked at car websites and they do give the month of release of the new models. Just want a more accurate data.

Also trying to find the release date of the new mazda 5. The local dealers are clueless.
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems :( Well at least i learn something on the way :D

They're not clueless, they just have old stock to clear and would rather try to sell you that before the new model comes out.

OPcan you get your family to all sing off the same hymn sheet 100% of the time.

Imagine trying to get a new model in the showrooms especially if the are imported. They need a bit of flexibility on dates.

Yes just done this with the Ford Mondeo revamp due later this year.

As reported, they say they don't know to the question 'if I order now, do I get the "mk10" or the "mk11".

The new Mazda 5 was due to be launched in "September". I'm guessing they have a load of old stock to clear out.

Have you seen the design of the new 5? It looks like it hit every branch on the ugly tree, bounced and hit them on the way up again! :D

My only warning to you if you are buying a diesel is to check the servicing costs and see if they are acceptable. My first 12,500 mile service on my 5 cost £470!

might that be because they want people to continue to buy the current stock?

Why on earth would manufacturers give out exact dates months in advance and leave themselves with millions of pounds worth of current stock?

The autoexpress magazine used to have a list towards the back (in with the new car prices) for when new models were scheduled.

Have a flick through when you are in WH Smiths or Tesco etc

Only accurate to the nearest month though. No use for giving specific build dates, etc.

The problem is that the revamped Mondeo is the only one you can see on their website and in the new brochure that they have sent.

    So?

    Thanks for the replies.

Am looking for a mpv/high seating car. Currently have a mazda 5 and am keen to look at the new model. However looking at the website today they have the new model now and talking to a local dealer today he states they should have one in a forthnight. However he does have a new 'old' shape in the showroom.

Citroen C4 picasso - is due out this month yet the dealer only supplied me the brochure of the old model. I am aware the only changes are addition of DRL and minor changes in trim.

Regarding the mondeo i have been told they stop producing the old model 2 months ago and any manufactured now will be the new facelifted version.
