Lets hope genuine members arent getting 2 then selling them on ebay. I missed out as I'm sure loads of others did. It would be pity if it was because of greedy members.:o

My son's reception isn't too good with his, we don't have brilliant reception though and are running 4 tv's off a booster! When I tried my downstairs freeview in his room it was slightly better, but nowhere near as good as it is downstairs. Don't know why his reception is the worst of the 4 tv's, but on checking online get the impression this isn't the best freeview box. Am hoping when digital is on properly the reception improves. Can't complain for free though, still best freebie I have had.

Dont think thats down to the box, more the reception, they need an amplified aerial (the plug in variety)however good your reception is- for portable tvs
The reception on my tv in my room downstairs is much better than my sons room which is in the roof- i tried the battery powered variety 1st which actually made matters worse rather than better- I was trying to fix it on the cheap and could already get random channels such as E4+1 and Sky3 without the aerial but not with!
The one I'm using now is the one- for- all amplified aerial 29.99 from Curry's, (the one with the green base)much better!
    Hope this helps

AND... by looking up that link for you i realised its a fiver cheaper in Argos- rang Currys and I'm going to get a fiver back from them tomorrow- rather that than them lose a sale to Argos- well now I know this aerial works (even better in the boys' room than mine) I need another so I've saved a tenner!!

If it is reception then how come the other two freeview boxes connected to the same 4 booster socket work ok? The other two freeview are durabrand from asda. I tried my durabrand in my son's room and it was marginally better than the sagem, but nowhere near as good as it was plugged in downstairs. I don't understand why his signal is different to the other 2, surely they should all be the same using the booster?

We have a problem with reception as we live a stone's through from the theatre of dreams (or nightmares in my case!). Man United put up a more powerful ariel, but the only way to get tv in 4 rooms was to use the booster and that is not brilliant, hence using the freeview boxes.

Not sure the indoor ariel suggested would work in my case.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I think you're case is an unusual one but then I never expected to get a crystal clear picture in my sons room either- from no signal at all but I have.
I'm sure if it was down to the boxes this forum would be full of it!
How about trying it connected to the main telly- without all the others plugged into the booster- or try it somewhere you know another box works fine.
That'd confirm it one way or another

Has anyone else had problems with theirs or has everyone dropped off this thread now they got their boxes?
