Hello All,
I like many others that look on this site get tottally confused by all these laptop deals that are flying about but I have just stumbled across this one
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/pcw_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0927445330.1160064536@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccecaddjddjfkjicflgceggdhhmdgmi.0&page=Product&fm=1&sm=0&tm=undefined&sku=408051&category_oid=-27749
It seems to show that it is better than half price and the spec dosnt look tooo bad. can anyone tell me if there are any bad points too it??
Price is showing as 762.97 reduced from 1539.97
19" Widescreen Gloss detachable display
128mb dedicated graphics
1gig RAM
Intel Pentium M 750 processor 1.86GHz
80 GB Hard Drive
2 MB Cache
533 MHz FSB
Dual Layer DVD RW SuperMulti
I have looked at a few reviews and itscores quite weel (8.1/10 and 7.7/10) so seems like a good deal

Not bad - depends what you need it for. My only concern is that if you do play (or want to play) any games, then the gphx card & centrino is a bit of a let down.
Also, that thing is gonna be HUGE. 19" monitor? I find the 15" large enough for my liking. Not really portable if it's that large. - But on the upside you get a numpad, I do miss that on my laptops!!
Not a big fan of the Pentium M (centrino) range, but then I am sure many people will argue for them - that is just my preference.
Samsung are a good company, alright on the reliability side of things.
Not a bad buy.0 -
Im realy looking for a laptop that i can use all around the house rather than going out of the house. I want to be able to play some games but not the latest top spec ones, Just football manager 2007 realy. I also want to be able to connect to the internet whilst in bed/watching tv/cooking dinner etc. as at the moment I have to go upstairs to the desktop andits a bit anti social as I dont spend "Time" with the missus!
I Like the idea of the the big screen and certainly the fact that I can use the screen for my desktop if I want as I only have a big bulky old 15" screen on that.
I just have a few questions that hopefully someone can answer....
Is this laptop OK to connect to a wireless router or do I need some other piece of kit? Im currently on telewest blueyonder on my desktop
Is the fact that the processer is not dual core a big problem?
Hope this is a good deal for someone out there!!0 -
