Hi
I was on yesterday asking about getting my ipod to connect to my PC (turns out I had to download the latest itunes update to get it to work) but now I hve another question.
I can't get it to connect to my wifi. No matter what I do it just won't connect. Anybody got any ideas? It's found my network, I've put the password in but that's as far as I get. I can't connect through Safari or any of my internet related apps. Any help would be much appreciated.
I also asked this at the bottom of my previous thread but had no responses so have started this new one with the correct title in the hope someone will no the answer

Hi there, yes, the passwords definitely correct. It's all in lower case and that's the way I put it in to my ipod. I've used my wifi at home before with my dad's laptop and had no probs so I'm a bit confused about why it's not working here. There's no hidden way to do it is there?! lol I only ask as my dad's laptop was the Fujitsu Siemens Amilo and it had a hidden way of turning the wireless bit on..•

What encryption does your wfi use, WEP or WPA? I remember there was a problem with WEP where you needed the key in HEX instead of ASCII (or vice versa). You should use WPA anyway...0 -

I never had a problem with mine, just found the wifi network name added the password and it was done. Ok not really a solution, just saying I didn't have a problem with it.Survey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740

If you bought it new, then you have 90 days of free applecare support.
You should be able to telephone them and they'll talk you through setup and (hopefully) tell you how to sort out the problem.

Might be a button on the hub you have to press when you're getting a new device to connect? (I had a BT hub some time ago that had this, but it might hvae changed).0 -

Fantastic! I'm typing this from my iPod
there's a wireless button on the side of the hub, I pressed that and things started flashing then it all connected. thank you very much
