Whats the longest they can backdate a new claim?

    93 days is the longest a claim itself can be backdated. The disability element can be backdated further if for example your newly awarded DLA itself has been backdated longer than the 93 days, and you tell Tax Credits within 3 months of it being awarded. But even then the furthest it can backdate to is the effective date of your actual claim (which will be 93 days at the most before the date your form was received by them).
