Missing rewards - BOS reward account

Hi,

Like no doubt many people here, i have 3 BOS reward accounts and have had them since they became available.

Every month i have cycled £1000 through them no fuss and received £15 reward each time.

In september i put the £1k through the accounts on the 30th (like i do every month) but as of today the 5th i've had no reward on any of the accounts

Has anyone had the reward for September yet ?

Im loathed to point it out to BOS as they may notice i have three accounts when your only meant to have the 1 now.

On what date did the money hit the accounts? If it's not internal / FP and it slid over to the next working day then you haven't met the T&Cs?

It was all transfered from within BOS accounts so it all went through on the 30th.

Bit odd then. Certainly my Halifax rewards for last month are in now.

If you've had the accounts since inception - that was allowed by the T&Cs so there should be no issues asking them. (I have seen the odd problem recorded on here where people have credited on the last day of the month and that was the weekend ..... just to throw in an irrelevancy that didn't apply to Sept !!)

Does it matter what time it's done ?

I didn't do it till about 8pm but as said they all went through there and then as it was internal transfering. I've done it this way every time.

Possibly (probably?). From your account T&Cs...

Bank working day is any day between 9am and 5pm which is not a Saturday, Sunday or English bank or public holiday

I'd be tempted to keep quiet if I was you (and pay in a little earlier from now on).

The T&Cs say that the Reward can be paid as late as the 10th of the month.

As your credit went in so late, it's possible that it wasn't picked up in the original run that determined whether or not the reward should be paid. I'd suggest if it hasn't hit by the 12th, you ask them to sort it out for you.

Good point ..... it might.

Throughout the T&Cs for the Reward account - it's littered with doing things by 'end of day'. But whilst there is a definition in one area (0900hrs - 1700 hrs) that's partially contradicted elsewhere with a slightly later time. And I do have an Email response for a query a couple of years ago - where 1800hrs is mentioned as cut off.

So - I've always taken 'end of day' as being around 1800hrs if I ever let the account slide into my otherwise unused overdraft and need to transfer funds in and avoid the daily charge. But - I know from other exchanges on here that people who work for Halifax argue that 'end of day' is exactly that - and when they start the Batch processes around midnight / early hours.
