Seller being a nightmare!

I bought an item which was not as described and arrived in a total mess- the seller finally offered to refund the full amount (including original p&p and the return p&p) so I sent it back to them- they refunded original amount and p&p by paypal but said paypal wouldnt let them refund me more than Id paid for the original transaction so they would send a cheque in the post to cover the return postage - Ive not received it and they said they sent it well over a week ago (I chased them up on it and thats what they said). Ive messaged them to say that its still not come and so Id advise them to cancel the cheque and asked them to sort out the rest of my refund asap. They are now totally ignoring me. Im not convinced that there ever was a cheque anymore.

Thing is, Im not sure if there is anything I can do - paypal shows a full refund, so I dont think they can help. I do have the messages through ebay saying theyd send me the return postage money but is there anyway I can actually get it out of them?

I wouldnt mind if it wasnt quite so much money (was a heavy item to send back).

Any help appreciated.

Realistically your only hope is small claims, and not even that would be guaranteed.

Hmmm, I thought that I might be stuck with no sensible way of getting it back.

It just annoys me so much that they have blatently lied to me and promised to do something which they obviously wont do.....and they will just end up getting away with it!

If they wanted to they could have sent you the payment via PayPal outside of the eBay transaction.

Negative feedback? Do not email them asking for the money or you leave neg feedback though.

They could use that to get it removed.
