Cheaper option to New York if you Live in East Anglia

Hi all
I have been doing some research and have found possibly cheaper way to get to New York and other Destinations without the stress of travel to/from airports in London or Manchester if you live in the east of england.
I was recently looking at flights to New York and I found although the prices look cheaper from the bigger airports it can be something of an expedition and a pricy affair to get transport to and from large airports.
I found that if you travel with klm out of Norwich airport and fly to Schipol in Amsterdam then on to New York you can get a reasonable price RETURN Flight for an average of £420 Pounds per person, this includes your flights to/from norwich in the price.
The Flight times are quite good aswell as its only a 30 min flight to amsterdam and then only less than 2 hours beofre you fly on to your destination.
The only Cons I can see are sometimes on the return journey you have to go via boston on your return journey back to Amsterdam but if your not fussy then you can prob save a bit as taxi costs, hotel costs, food etc can mount up if you are travelling from London.

P.S if your travelling form Stanstead check out flights via German Carrier AIR BERLIN to the states as they can also throw out some low prices.

KLM flies from several regional airports. You don't have to fly via Boston on your way back, it sounds like that was just where there was availability for your dates.Gone ... or have I?0

Hi , you are prob right with regards to this as you can get direct flights back to amsterdam. but as they always seem on their site to put direct flights out and then if you want a straight flight back they seem to put prices up slightly.

spooky25, the reason the price seems cheaper back from Boston is because the price of that route tends to be slightly cheaper with KLM.Gone ... or have I?0
