thanks for letting me know,l I will NEVER buy a thing branded Hotpoint, Ariston, Indestit or Creda.

They are now supposed to be turning up this afternoon with a new machine - as they can't seem to order both required parts for mine - which is only a few months old.

They sent me a cheque (in full and final settlement of any claim i think i may have) for an entire £30. This is for 5 weeks with a washer that won't work because they can't order parts properly and for cancelld appointments and it won't even cover the hours spent on their 08709 phone trying to get hold of someone who will take any responsibilty.

i have a bet with a friend that they won't turn up. >:(
  • Let us know.

Keep notes on all the calls, agreements, etc that are made and then write a nice detailed letter to the CEO - maybe you'll get another appliance free.  ;D ..... if you want another Hotpoint in your house  :-/
    Sense is not common.

    hey webmaster
i did fax a long letter to the CEO and posted it to the complaints department - so far 30 quid! crap.

Just called the customer service number to check they hadn't cancelled todays replacement which theyl told me would arrive between 12 and 6pm. (so i just booked the afternoon off) only to be told the guy thats fitting it will be there 12-6 but the washer will arrive between 8-6 - this isn't what they told me before. so i ask this girl to try and sort this out for me and her response was 'it isn't my job to do that i just book service calls' she used this as her answer to everything and told me to call customer services then proceeded to give me the same number i called her on! then she gave me another number and i had to call them to sort the washer delivery out which they say IS arriving 12-6. the scary thing is the first girl i spoke to was training the guy that originally answered my call!!!! hopeless!
  • so how did it turn out?

    or is it still ongoing??

  • I WOULDNT TOUCH HOTPOINT WITH A 1000 FOOT BARGE POLE!!!!

They produce such rubbish appliances. THey make u look and feel an idiot.

I had a washing machine was 'top of the range' Digital a few years back, kept giving out all these error msgs. They sent the senior tech engineer round, and he stood in my kitchen and told me 'There is nothing wrong' despite these erros? + Other people have said 'I've had my hotpoint 15+yrs, I said yeh, u know why?, because Bosch used to make them prior to Hotpoint'.

    Do not go there!!

Dreams Bedding PLC. Having purchased a bed, which was delivered several days later, the headboard was out of stock. 7 weeks later and many visits and phone calls..................still no headboard.

Whats irratating, no one returnes phone calls, and on my visits to the store I find the attitude of the MANAGER disgusting and unhelpful.

Thay will no doubt change their attitude this week when I demand a refund!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

    Thought I'd finish the story.

Went in to Dreams Bedding to demand a refund.

Manager says 'We only accept cancellations two weeks before delivery, in writing, and there is a charge'

I said not on, 7 weeks waiting for a headboard is ridiculous and I want a refund now!!!!!!!!!!!

Manager says ' this supplier of headboards is always letting Dreams down' (at this point she mentioned the name of the supplier)

I happened to know of this particular supplier as I am in the Retail Trade.

After some huffing and puffing, she agreed to refund my Credit Card with the £130 but it has to go through Head Office so I would have to wait a week or two.

Got back to the office, rang the supplier and ordered the headboard for £50 + vat.

Credit Card refunded last week (£130) headboard delivered this week (£50+vat).

    RESULT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

???Italia: I always get names of people I talk to, so you can refer back to them. And I ALWAYS write straight to the top when complaining. You could also copy your letters to BBC Watchdog! Had a terrible time with NTL and was getting nowhere on the phone. I think they put you down as a moaner and tend to take no notice after a while. Wrote to the MD and soon got some action.
