slow start up

Hi,

takes ages to fire up, though not particularly slow when actually running. there must be loads of things fighting to start up. Is there a 'start up menu' (where please). What can I delete ?

Ccleaner has a startup list. But make sure you dont disable security etc

If you run HijackThis and post the log we'd be able to advise you on what you need to stop and whats best to leave alone.

Click start then click on run. Type "msconfig" in the box . Click on the startup tab . This will reveal what runs when you boot up. Have a look at startup websites to see if it is advisable to disable if you are not sure .

yes the disable unused startup programs and try to have less items in desktop.
