I have a weird problem - I am connected to the router wirelessly and the PC downstairs is wired to it. When ever my brother tries to connect his xbox to the router (using homeplugs) we all lose internet connection :S this didn't use to happen!??!
Another problem I have is my computer can't detect my homeplug that is why I am using wireless it tells me something like network cable may not be properly plugged in.

The problem with your computer not detecting the homeplug sounds to be like the 2 homeplugs aren't connecting. I had this problem when I first used homeplugs and it I ended up resetting both home plugs, plugging them in and pressing the 'link' buttons on both at the same time (with someone else's help).
Regarding the problem with the xbox, it could be to do with the IP address that the xbox is using - it could be conflicting with something so try checking that it's not trying to use the same IP address as anything else on the network.0 -
Whole house lost internet so couldnt come on to check this thread lol anyway I've set up this PC to static IP is there any disadvantage to this? I think that might have sorted the problem but still problem with homeplug (we have 3 in the house) mines the only one that doesnt work.0
