Hello:wave:, I'm new to this so I am sorry if this is in the wrong place I was after some advice.
My partner and I are 22 and have a four month old baby girl (not planned but loving every minute of it:)) my boyfriend earns £24,000 and I earn £14,000 but I am currently on maternity leave so I only get SMP. Our mortgage payments are £750 a month not including any bills etc so money is very tight.
I was just wanting to know if anyone knows what we are entitled to, I do not want to be dependant on the state but I would like to know if there is anything I would be able to get if the worst comes to the worst.
If anyone could let me know that would be great.
xx

You can double check your entitlements on the Turn2us online benefit calculator.
I doubt mortgage payments get taken into account when there is a struggle between income and household expenses.
There's a budget planner on the free tools section that will allow you to detail your income and expenses and work through the site systematically to identify where you can make savings, such as switching tariffs with energy suppliers, insurance, cheap meal planners and so forth.0 -
Claiming child benefit but didn't think i was entitled to ctc . I shall check the entitlement calculator and use the budget planner might just need to be clever with our money.
Thanks x0
