Child Tax Credits and Inheritance

We receive the basic child tax credit of £40ish per month. My husband has just received an inheritance of £25,000. Is this counted as income for tax credits purposes? It is tax free so I'm assuming it is not but if anyone knows for certain that would be great. Thank you!

I don't think so. The interest you earn from that £25,000 is classed as income, but not the £25,000 itself.0
